School of Herbal Storytelling

about

BOTANICA

FABULA

Herbal stories weave threads throughout every culture. They educate, engage, and enchant the listener through all their senses, pulling them into a unique dimension of history and magical potential. They are a vital part of our intangible heritage and a traditional way of learning about plants and our relationship with our past. They are designed to be told, heard, and experienced, an integral part of our oral tradition.

Botanica Fabula School of Herbal Storytelling builds on Amanda's experience of over a decade creating and delivering workshops in educational settings. The School is a space for brave botanists, adventerous artists, curious time travellers, students of herbalism, and those seeking a connection to this liminal natural realm which links past, present, and future.

Courses and Workshops from Botanica Fabula add a vital, complementary insight of folklore and traditions to a traditional practical study of botany and herbalism. Amanda’s aim is to raise awareness of the importance of plant stories, complimented by works of literature, social history and anthropology, and ultimately bringing recognition to Herbal Storytelling as a path of study in its own right.
