Hand-stitched plant dyed tiny talismanic bag, created by textile artist and storyteller Jean Edmiston. Each bag is created using scraps of upcycled silk and cotton, plant fibre yarns, dyed with native herbal plants found growing near Jean’s home in rural Scotland and mordanted with ‘leavings’: rusting iron elements found within the landscape. Each one decorated with local shells and vintage buttons and may contain a hidden secret! Each bag is individual, so may not match the picture, they measure (very approximately) 5cms by 8cms.
Each one comes with a hand printed envelope of herbs for you to try.
