Workshop at Cample Line

Sunday 17th May 1-4pm

Herbal stories weave threads throughout every culture. Join Amanda at the unique Dumfries and Galloway place that is Cample for a herbal folklore workshop alongside their current exhibition – The Unearthed by Anderson Borba for an afternoon of stories, plants, recipes and remedies.

In the workshop, Amanda will use storytelling to introduce traditional, nature-based knowledge, taking familiar plants that grow all around us and looking at their roles in folklore and as traditional remedies over many generations.

There will be plenty of chance to explore the plants in Cample’s greenspace and share inherited stories, memories and insights. We will also create small folded books from ethically sourced handmade plant papers and use them to create our own ‘hidden herbals’.
